The new Witvlei Travel Guide has been published and offers comprehensive insight into the
history, everyday life, and tourist attractions of the Namibian community of Witvlei for the first time.
The English-language guidebook was developed as part of a teacher exchange program organized by the German-Namibian association Suni e.V.
between Nossob Combined School and the University of Trier,
in collaboration with authors and photographers from Germany and Namibia. It
combines local expertise with a scientific perspective and shows how intercultural
educational work can lead to sustainable knowledge transfer.
The Witvlei Travel Guide pays particular attention to previously undocumented local
knowledge, which has been recorded in two specially developed maps.
All proceeds from the travel guide go to the Nossob Combined School.
